Digital Communications & Fundraising Officer

Our charity raises funds (£3.9m+) and awareness for a leading charity in Pakistan that provides a holistic formal education for 280,000+ underprivileged children – 50% girls, in 1,833+ school units with all-female teaching faculties.

We are looking for an experienced and talented Communications & Fundraising Officer to join our team. Reporting to the CEO, you will support TCF-UK’s communications and marketing activities and help drive donations through digital channels.

Responsibilities

Social Media

  • Plan, design and implement social media campaigns to raise TCF-UK’s profile and conduct post-campaign evaluation to inform future planning.
  • Manage TCF-UK’s social media platforms. Monitor, post and reply to comments on our social media channels, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn
  • Continuously monitor the digital media and fundraising landscape to analyse trends, identifying opportunities to grow and connect to audiences and donors.
  • Work with our Marketing and Digital teams to produce engaging, creative and share-worthy content.
  • Create and manage a content calendar which aligns with TCF-UK’s social media strategy.

External Communications

  • Work with our Marketing team to create and deliver regular newsletters and updates to our donors and other stakeholders.
  • Lead production, design, and content of TCF-UK’s annual report.
  • Lead the development of TCF-UK’s marketing and PR collateral, including leaflets, press releases, press/media kits, pledge forms etc.
  • Develop strategic relationships with external stakeholders (media agencies, journalists, TCF Ambassadors and influencers) and leverage these relationships to drive awareness and fundraising.
  • Create and continually refresh thanking materials and manage the distribution of these materials.

Digital Marketing & Fundraising

  • Work closely with our Head of Global Digital Fundraising to design and execute TCF-UK’s digital marketing strategy. Develop and maintain reporting tools such as digital reporting dashboard, content calendars and other reporting tools.
  • Continuously audit TCF-UK’s website to ensure content is accurate, relevant and engaging for our core audiences.

Other

  • Provide digital and online communications support for TCF-UK’s fundraising campaigns, events and volunteers.

Personal Specifications

  • Proven track record in a similar role, preferably in a small charity environment.
  • Strong understanding of digital fundraising and proven ability to deliver creative and effective digital fundraising campaigns
  • Skilled communicator, with outstanding verbal and written skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience of leveraging social media and online platforms to drive fundraising.
  • Exceptional copywriting and editing skills.
  • Flair for creating creative digital content and be adept at using Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva and other such design tools.
  • Effective at managing a diverse workload through good time management and prioritising
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work with people of all backgrounds
  • Excellent time management and prioritisation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team and interact with colleagues in a helpful and supportive manner
  • Ability to problem solve and work positively to deliver results
  • Willing to contribute new ideas and identify and share new initiatives
  • Must be authorised to work in the UK and not require work authorisation by our company for this position or in the future.

This is a permanent, full-time position based primarily in London within a salary range of £30,000 – £35,000.
